Two children's classic books coming to the big screen soon, and just in time for the next school holidays, are The BFG written by Roald Dahl and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. Then something for the avid Harry Potter fan before the end of the year.
The BFG
The second movie adaption of Roald Dahl's popular book The BFG, the 1989 adaption is an animated film, the new 2016 adaption is live action - and special effects. The BFG is due to be released in movie theatres late June or early July. Take a look at the teaser trailer below for a sneak peek.
Alice Through the Looking Glass
Following on from Alice in Wonderland, released in 2010, we can follow Alice on her adventures through the looking glass on the big screen in mid July 2016, 14th July to be exact. Here's the trailer....
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Although not really qualifying as a "children's book to film" this Harry Potter series spin-off is sure to be eagerly awaited by many Harry Potter fans, children and adults alike. Due in cinemas in November.
