Double Helix is a science magazine published by CSIRO for a youth audience. It takes over from the Scientriffic and Helix magazines which are no longer published. 

Double Helix contains fascinating and fun science material designed to foster an interest in science, maths, technology and engineering. You might also want to have a look at the Double Helix webpage - see Magazine Links on the side panel of this blog.

The Kid Should See This is a great website with heaps of really interesting videos about Science, Technology, Space, Animals, Nature, Transport, Food, Music, Art, Conservation, Animation, Robots and LOTS more.

DK Find Out! - Online Encyclopedia

Book publisher DK has launched a free online encyclopedia for children providing similar content to DK's print books and covering topics ranging from science and math to geography. 

But it's not just for kids, parents and teachers can use it too!

Uneasy

Uneasy

This chameleon sure looks "uneasy" to me, perhaps he's read one too many thrillers. I'm thinking we might know exactly why he looked like this if only we could see who, or what, was behind him!

Chameleons are also masters of camouflage (see my earlier post on camouflage) they are able to change their skin colouring to match their surroundings - usually in shades of green and brown, though some can turn almost any colour. You can find our more about chameleons HERE.
